The National Examination Board (NEB), Office of the Controller of Examination, is planning to publish result of Grade 12 examination results in the month of Shrawan 2082 BS (July/August 2025 AD).
The examination of Grade 12 began on Baishakh 21, 2082 (4 May 2025, Sunday) and ended on Jestha 2, 2082 (16 May 2025, Friday).
The examinations, which ran from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., were attended by 511,525 students. Of the total examinees, 395,908 appeared under the regular category while 115,617 were partial examinees. The exams was held across 1,591 exam centres across 77 districts.
Provincially, Bagmati Province witnessed the highest number of participants with 135,240 students, while Karnali saw the lowest, with 38,888. Other provinces included Koshi (82,871), Madhesh (69,808), Gandaki (43,349), Lumbini (90,678), and Sudurpaschim (50,654).
The NEB deployed around 2,000 staff, 20,000 security personnel, and adequate exam superintendents, deputies, and support staff across centres.
Last year, Grade 12 result was published on 2 August 2024 (18 Shrawan 2082 BS) . According to the last year results, over 52 percent of the students who sat for the exams passed and 47.09 percent of the students were non-graded( fail).

HOW TO CHECK GRADE 12 RESULTS 2081-2082 ?
Once result is officially announced by the NEB, Students, teachers, guardians, and other stakeholders can access full mark sheets for Class 12 Science, Management, Humanities, Law, and Education results through various official websites, SMS service providers, and/or IVR services.
STATISTICS: Last Year: NEB Grade 12 Results 2080-81
The Grade 12 result was published by NEB on August 2, 2024, last year. The exams began on April 26, 2024 ( Baishakh 14, 2081). As many as 390,868 students attended the Grade 12 exams which concluded on Baishakh 26, 2081 (May 08, 2024). There were 1525 exam centres of all 77 districts for Grade 12 Exams. Over 100,650 took the exams for the grade improvement last year. 52% of students passed their Class 12 exams.
Out of 390,868 students under regular category, 9591 students secured between 3.61 – 4.0 GPA while 46,893 students secured 3.21 – 3.60 GPA. Similarly, 78,075 secured 2.81-3.20 GPA whereas 61,036 students have secured 2.41 – 2.80 GPA. Likewise, 8,240 students secured between 2.10- 2.40 GPA, 12 students secured between 1.61 – 2.0 GPA. A total of 187,021 students failed to receive any grade and marked as Non-Graded (NG).
The Grade 12 exam was taken by students from 5,542 schools nationwide.
NEB Grad 12 Grading System
The NEB grading system is based on the Letter Grading Directive 2078, which specifies the criteria for passing and the corresponding grades. To pass the examination, students must score at least 35% on the theoretical portion of each subject. The grading system is intended to provide a complete assessment of a student's performance, with grades ranging from A+ to D.The grading system below ensures that students are evaluated not only on their ability to recall information, but also on their comprehension and application of knowledge.
